Weiwuying’s sweeping white building sits beside a large metropolitan park. Its curving public spaces are worth seeing even if you are not attending a performance.
Why go
Architect Francine Houben drew on the form of banyan trees for a roof that gathers several theaters under one structure. Walk the public ground-floor areas and look back from the park to understand the shape. A concert or play adds another visit, but the architecture alone makes this a distinct Kaohsiung stop.
