Xitou Nature Education Area
Xitou’s forest paths bring you among cedar, cypress and other tall trees in Nantou’s hills. Elevated walks and observation points make the visit more than a roadside forest view.
Why go
The reserve is set up for learning as well as walking, with paths that reveal different layers of the forest. Bird and small-animal sightings are possible, but the dependable reason to go is the cool, enclosed woodland and the chance to move slowly beneath the canopy.
