Zhaishan Tunnel
A military boat tunnel cut into granite gives Kinmen’s defense history a physical scale. The underground passage is a sharply different visit from the island’s temples and towers.
The tunnel was built to shelter vessels and move them through the rock. Its long, hard surfaces and water channel show the engineering demands more clearly than a display panel could. Enter for that spatial experience, but verify current access because events can temporarily close the site.
