Why go
This broad south-to-centre route suits first-time visitors who want the city's main historical contrast in one day. Start in Old Jaffa, where St. Peter's Church, the clock tower and the harbor belong to one compact walking area. Continue through Neve Tzedek before reaching the seafront and Rothschild Boulevard. Yarkon Park lies far beyond the core sequence and should remain optional, as should any church interior that requires a timed or service-sensitive visit. Protect time for Jaffa and Neve Tzedek, use the promenade as the connecting thread, and shorten the northern extension when heat makes the full route tiring.
