Full Steam Museum
Full Steam Museum concentrates on northern coastal fishing and maritime culture at the harbour. It adds a working-coast perspective to Tromsø's better-known polar-expedition stories.
Fishing shaped everyday livelihoods throughout northern Norway, and this museum focuses on those coastal communities rather than famous explorers. Displays use objects, images and sensory elements to bring the work closer. The harbour setting makes it easy to combine with the Polar Museum while keeping the two stories distinct.
