MS Polstjerna
MS Polstjerna is a preserved 1949 sealing vessel near Polaria, open for seasonal visits. Its original working spaces make polar maritime history unusually tangible.
Why go
A walk through the ship shows the cramped practical world behind Arctic voyages more directly than a display case can. The vessel retains much of its original interior and rigging, connecting work at sea with Tromsø’s polar identity. Its position beside Polaria makes the two contrasting Arctic stories easy to combine.
