Temple of the Wind God
Tulum's Wind God shrine occupies an exposed point on the shore. Its compact form and coastal setting provide a distinctive architectural pause near the end of the archaeological walk.
The small rounded base contrasts with the rectangular halls and cliff-top mass of the main monuments. From the marked coastal route, look at how much of the shrine's effect comes from its position against the sea. Wind and sun are more noticeable here than on the inland paths, so allow a comfortable pause rather than rushing past.
