Piazza Vittorio Veneto
This vast neoclassical square leads from Turin’s center to the Po. Its long arcades and riverward view are the main reasons to walk its full length.
Why go
Giuseppe Frizzi’s unified facades make the square feel larger and more ordered as you approach the river. Continue over Ponte Vittorio Emanuele I toward Gran Madre di Dio, then look back to see the square as part of a cross-river composition.
What to look for
Walk beneath the long arcades toward the Po.
Look back from the Gran Madre side for the scale and regular facades.
Useful to know
Allow time to walk the length of the square rather than viewing only one corner.
Link it with the bridge and Gran Madre di Dio for the full urban view.
