Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires (MALBA)
The Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (Malba) - Costantini Foundation was founded in September 2001 with the aim of collecting, preserving, studying and promoting Latin American art from the early twentieth century to the present. It is a private non-profit organization that preserves and exhibits a net of approximately 400 works by leading modern and contemporary artists from the region.
It combines an increasingly dynamic calendar of temporary exhibitions, with stable display it's institutional collection, and functions simultaneously as a plural of producing cultural and educational activities. It offers film screenings, literature and design, and carries out an important task of education through programs for different types of audiences. In May 2007, Malba was declared a Site of Cultural Interest by the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and in November 2008, the museum received the Konex Platinum Award for best cultural institution in the last decade.
