Modern Art Museum of Buenos Aires (MAMBA)
The Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires (Abbreviated as MAMBA), was created in 1956 by initiative of the art critic Rafael Squirm. His heritage is aimed at providing the means for society to become aware of cutting edge artistic trends.
The museum covers the Argentine art from the 1920s to the present, with a total of 6,000 works , approximately. Argentina production mainly covers contemporary art of the 1940s, 50s and 60s and international field work coming up today.
Among the most important donations the museum received include complete collections Argentina Photography, Industrial Design and Argentinian Graphic Design works and the latest artistic trends that summarize the past two decades. It completes with a broad overview of the drawing and engraving.
