Why go

This city route suits visitors who want to read Bridgetown through its streets and commercial waterfront. Start with the Mutual Building’s domes and balcony, then take time on Broad Street rather than treating it as a shortcut. The Spirit Bond brings the old rum trade into view through a surviving warehouse facade, and the Careenage opens onto the inner waterfront. The Mount Gay Visitor Centre is an optional final visit for those who want to take that theme further; check its current tour arrangements before walking over. Skipping it leaves a coherent, shorter city walk with four essential stops.
