Palau Sant Jordi
Palau Sant Jordi is the indoor arena of Montjuïc’s Olympic Ring. See its sculptural exterior from the esplanade, or enter only for an event with a ticket.
Why go
Arata Isozaki designed the arena for the 1992 Olympic setting, where it hosted indoor competitions and later became a concert and sports venue. Its exterior adds a striking shape to an Olympic Ring walk. An ordinary sightseeing visit does not include the interior.
What to look for
The arena’s broad roofline stands beside the Olympic Ring esplanade.
Its form contrasts with the older stadium across the open space.
Useful to know
For architecture, view the exterior while walking the Olympic Ring.
Consult the venue’s event calendar if you want to experience the interior.
