Why go
This is a hillier architecture walk for visitors happy to take their time on the northern edge of Bath. Beckford’s Tower is the substantial visit; the later stops are places to look closely at Bath’s changing townscape rather than long indoor visits. Walk down to Lansdown Crescent, then continue through Sion Hill Place. The Circus is an optional extension at the end if the descent still appeals. Allow more time than the map distance alone suggests for the gradients, and check the tower’s visiting arrangements before committing to the route. This sequence keeps the northern sights together without forcing a distant country excursion into the same day.
