Storeblå Aquaculture Visitor Centre
Storeblå explains modern aquaculture through a digital visitor exhibition on the Sandviken waterfront. It complements Bergen’s older fishing and maritime museums with a present-day industry.
Why go
Bergen’s coastal economy did not end with the historic fish trade. This centre gives a way to examine fish farming and its technology after seeing traditional fishing at the nearby Fisheries Museum. The two are separate visits with different time periods and interpretive styles. Check the centre’s current opening and exhibition format, since a digital programme can change.
