Museo de la Independencia Casa del Florero
The Casa del Florero places Colombia’s independence story in a recognizable corner house beside Plaza de Bolívar. It is a focused museum visit, best approached with time for interpretation rather than photographs alone.
The house connects the square’s present civic role with the events associated with July 1810 and the later ways Colombians have understood independence. Its corner balcony makes the building easy to identify, but the museum’s interpretive purpose deserves more attention than the façade. Combine it with the square while keeping a separate block of time for the displays.
