Plazoleta del Chorro de Quevedo
This small square combines a reconstructed fountain, chapel and lively street setting in La Candelaria. It rewards lingering, although stories about Bogotá’s exact founding here require some caution.
The compact space offers a different scale from Plaza de Bolívar: close façades, people passing through and a chapel built during the square’s twentieth-century reconstruction. It works as a pause within a longer historic-center walk. Notice the square itself before continuing along nearby lanes, and distinguish later reconstructions from the much older events associated with the area.
