Why go
This central Hotel Zone circuit suits travelers who want short walks and several different kinds of visit. Start with the canals and shops at La Isla Shopping Village, then spend time with the exhibits at the Interactive Aquarium Cancún. Continue to Yamil Lu’um for its surviving temple walls and raised coastal setting. Those three stops make the core day; Playa Marlín adds an optional stretch of sand at the end. Check aquarium admission and the public approach to the temple before leaving. The aquarium provides an indoor component, but the connecting walks and remaining stops are outdoors. Follow signed beach access and local flags rather than assuming swimming is suitable.
