Royal Stables
The sixteenth-century Royal Stables recall the breeding of Spanish horses near San Basilio; the historic building merits a visit when access is available.
Why go
Philip II established these stables in 1572 to breed horses for the royal household. The long vaulted stable space and its setting beside the old Alcázar quarter connect the city’s architecture to an equestrian tradition still visible in Córdoba. Confirm whether the building or a show is open before planning an interior stop.
