Why go
This route suits visitors who want a walk through the Palaiopolis side of Corfu and can enjoy outdoor sites without relying on interiors. Begin with the Temple of Artemis, viewed from outside its fenced site, then continue into the Mon Repos grounds for the neoclassical house and greenery. Museum access there needs a separate check. The longer final walk leads to Vlacherna Monastery and its causeway beside the lagoon. Treat the monastery as an exterior stop; interior access is unconfirmed. Start in daylight, leave room for a rest at Mon Repos, and take care on the road sections toward Kanoni.
