Why go
Take this route if the harbour interests you as more than a sea view. Priouli Fountain starts the walk in the western old town, and the Historical Museum supplies the wider story before the route reaches the waterfront. Saint Peter’s church and the Venetian Arsenals are brief exterior pauses that show how religious and maritime buildings shared this edge of the city. Leave a longer final visit for Koules Fortress and its position at the harbour mouth. If the museum or fortress is closed on your date, their surroundings still make sense as outdoor stops, but check current access before you count on going inside.
