Remembrance along the Peace Park axis

Why go

This route suits visitors who want to understand Hiroshima’s bombing history through both open-air memorials and first-person testimony. The stops follow a compact north-to-south line through the Peace Park area, so the short walks leave time to pause rather than hurry from marker to marker. Begin with the Atomic Bomb Dome, then give the Children's Peace Monument and the memorial for Korean victims their own attention. The Cenotaph leads naturally toward the quieter National Peace Memorial Hall and the fuller museum visit. Allow emotional space after the museum; its exhibits can be difficult. You can shorten individual pauses, but the sequence works best without adding unrelated attractions.
