Why go
This walk suits a first day in Cusco if you want to understand the city through its daily life as well as its ceremonial center. Browse San Pedro Market before moving east through a sequence of churches; the short blocks leave time to look at façades and streets rather than rush between interiors. Plaza de Armas provides a natural pause before Cusco Cathedral becomes the final substantial visit. The Jesuit church is an optional extra on the same square if you still have energy and visitor access is available. Check church admission locally, since an exterior look is still worthwhile when doors are closed.
