Why go
Use this collection as a planning menu rather than a forced single route. Pair the Roman Theatre of Málaga with the Alcazaba of Málaga and Castillo de Gibralfaro to follow the ancient and Islamic city uphill. For a flatter sequence, connect Málaga Cathedral, Atarazanas Market and Museo de Málaga. The first group explains the fortified slope; the second shows how civic, religious and commercial buildings reused the historic centre. Trying all six at once leaves too little time for the interiors and climb.
