Why go
This is a walking and coast day for travelers comfortable with a steeper forest trail. The waterfall route follows the river inland from the Anse Couleuvre approach; it is the longest and most demanding visit, so do it while you have energy and daylight. The cove then gives you time to see the cliffs and dark sand. Anse Céron offers a second volcanic beach with a different view toward La Perle. The two shore stops are for landscape as much as swimming. Allow for changing footing after rain and decide on entering the sea from local conditions.
