Why go

Families who want a varied central day can start inside the Story Museum, then use the Covered Market as a relaxed break. The Museum of Oxford adds stories about the city and its people before the route turns east. Continue to the Botanic Garden for open space and a more focused garden visit, then pause at Magdalen Bridge for river views. Magdalen College is an optional finish for anyone with energy and visitor access; it is easy to skip if the earlier stops have taken longer. Check the museum and garden entry arrangements before setting out, and leave time to move at a comfortable pace between indoor and outdoor stops.
