Why go

Fischer von Erlach used the tight square to create a facade that seems to hold the space around it. Inside, the oval dome and ceiling fresco pull the eye upward. The church is a concise way to read Salzburg Baroque on the right bank, especially when compared with the Collegiate Church across the river.
