Why go
This route is for visitors who want to read Savannah’s historic streets as they walk. Forsyth Park gives the day a spacious start before the scale narrows to houses, a square and the cathedral. A Mercer House visit adds a furnished interior; Lafayette Square offers a pause before the cathedral and Green-Meldrim House. The walking is manageable, but indoor access depends on tours, services and other events. Check the house and cathedral calendars, then leave room to enjoy the streets between stops instead of scheduling every minute.
