Subotica City Hall
Subotica City Hall fills the centre with Hungarian Art Nouveau decoration. The exterior is an easy stop, while the ceremonial rooms require their own visitor arrangements.
Komor and Jakab's design places civic administration inside a richly crafted building. Ceramics, carved wood and stained glass carry the decorative language from façade to interior. The hall is a useful first anchor for understanding why Subotica's architecture differs from the fortresses and Orthodox monasteries found elsewhere in Serbia.
