Why go
This walk suits visitors who want to understand how Ljubljana’s buildings and river crossings fit together. Start with the architect’s domestic experiments at Plečnik House, then compare the three spans of Triple Bridge with Dragon Bridge’s sculptural corners. The cathedral adds a Baroque landmark between the crossings; plan around its exterior, entering only when visitor access permits. Arrange a guided house visit before setting out, and leave room between it and the river walk. Ljubljana Castle is an optional, longer finish with an uphill approach, suited to those who still want towers, historical displays and a wider view.
