Island churches and Palais Rohan collections

Why go

Choose this island walk for architecture and art, and check the Palais Rohan museums’ official schedule before setting out. Start in Place Kléber, then compare the painted interior of Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune with the Gothic space of Saint-Thomas. Continue across the centre to the Palais Rohan facade before visiting Decorative Arts, with Fine Arts as an optional second museum. Allow 10–20 minutes for each walk between neighbourhoods and a short crossing within the palace complex. Check which rooms are open in the Decorative Arts and Fine Arts museums when planning your visit. Make Fine Arts the optional extra if you would rather linger in the churches. Avoid visiting the churches during worship.
