Taipei 101 Observatory
The 89th-floor observatory gives a full-circle view over Taipei and its surrounding basin. It is the place to see the city from above rather than photograph the tower itself.
Why go
The high-speed lift leads to an indoor deck with broad views, telescopes and a look at the tower’s wind damper. On a clear day, the basin and nearby hills make Taipei’s geography easier to read. This is a ticketed indoor visit with a different payoff from the free view back toward Taipei 101 on Elephant Mountain.
