Folkeparken Open-Air Museum
Folkeparken's open-air museum gathers historic buildings among the greenery of south Tromsøya. The outdoor site is free to wander; interior displays have a summer programme.
Walking between relocated houses gives a sense of coastal life that is distinct from the nearby beach. Perspektivet Museum cares for the buildings and opens selected interiors during the summer season. Outside those hours, the unfenced grounds still make a worthwhile short historical walk.
