The Arctic University Museum of Norway
The Arctic University Museum covers northern nature and human history, from rocks and wildlife to Sámi culture. Its breadth rewards a longer visit than most centre-city museums.
Why go
This is the place to build background for what you see outdoors: geological displays, Arctic wildlife and regional history are brought together under one roof. It also adds context to Sámi culture that a landscape stop cannot provide. The museum lies south of the core centre, so allow travel time.
