Old Palace
The Old Palace is a former Obrenović royal residence in Belgrade's civic center, now used by the city administration. Its architecture is the reliable reason to stop.
The palace links the city's royal and municipal histories in one building. Its classical design, rusticated lower level and balustraded balconies are visible from the street, even when the interior is unavailable. Look at it alongside the nearby assembly and Pioneers' Park to read the area's changing civic roles.
What to look for
Classical façades frame the former royal residence.
Rusticated stonework marks the lower level.
Balustraded balconies recall its palace design.
Useful to know
Plan an exterior visit; current public interior access is unverified.
