Bristol Beacon
Bristol Beacon is a central music venue with restored performance halls and a public foyer. Stop for the building during the day, or build a separate visit around a concert.
Why go
Formerly called Colston Hall, this venue joins Bristol’s concert history to a renewed set of spaces on Trenchard Street. The Bridgehouse foyer offers a way to see the building without a performance, while Beacon Hall and Lantern Hall give a booked event a different scale and atmosphere. It is a useful cultural pause close to the city centre.
What to look for
The Bridgehouse foyer gives the building a public-facing indoor space.
Beacon Hall and Lantern Hall are distinct performance rooms within the venue.
The current name, Bristol Beacon, replaces the former Colston Hall name.
Useful to know
Use the foyer for a shorter visit; plan a concert as a separate, longer outing.
Check the venue programme before counting on access to a performance hall.
