Why go
This route suits travelers who want the pyramids to be the whole day’s focus. Start with the plateau as a landscape, then give the Great Pyramid of Giza its own visit before moving to Khafre’s complex. The Great Sphinx of Giza provides a different scale and completes the core route. The Pyramid of Menkaure is an optional extension, but reaching it from the Great Sphinx means backtracking across the plateau. The stops sit within the Giza archaeological area, but the ground is exposed and distances are real; pace the walk and allow time between monuments. A separate museum visit deserves another day rather than a hurried cross-city detour.
