Civic Center Park
Denver's formal civic park sits between the State Capitol and the City and County Building. Its paths and memorials make a useful pause between government buildings and museums.
The park's symmetry is easiest to understand from its central paths: government buildings frame a planned public space rather than a casual green. Its monuments, gardens and open sightlines also make it a natural outdoor link to the nearby Denver Art Museum and State Capitol.
