Peace Clock Tower

The Peace Clock Tower marks time beside the river near the park’s northern edge. Its daily chime recalls the moment of the bombing.

Peace Clock Tower

Why go

A clock makes the exact time of the explosion part of the city’s present routine. The tower is a short stop, best approached while walking between the Dome and other northern memorials. Its role differs from the Peace Bell, which visitors can ring, and from the central cenotaph’s place of mourning.
