Contemporary Arts Museum Houston
See changing contemporary art exhibitions in a compact museum on Montrose Boulevard. This is a focused stop for new artistic ideas, with the experience shaped by what is currently on view.
CAMH presents exhibitions rather than a permanent collection, so each visit can reveal a different set of artists and questions. Its scale makes it a useful companion to another Museum District stop. Check the current exhibition before deciding whether you want a brief introduction or time to explore the work more closely.
