The Temple

The Temple turns the Dale Street and Princess Street corner with a colonnade and small cupola. It is a compact exterior stop among Liverpool’s banking and office buildings.

The Temple

Why go

Built for banker William Brown, this office building gives the corner a more open rhythm than the solid facades nearby. The Tuscan columns at ground level and the roof cupola make it easy to read from two directions, especially on a walk along Dale Street.

What to look for

  • Follow the Tuscan colonnade at street level.
  • Look for the cupola above the corner frontage.

Useful to know

  • View both the Dale Street and Princess Street sides.
  • Treat the interior as private office space unless access is separately confirmed.
