Place Benoît-Crépu
A small open square near the Saône that provides a quieter pause at the southern, Saint-Georges end of Vieux Lyon.
Why go
The square works best as breathing room within a longer old-town walk. Its riverside position opens views and marks the transition from dense Renaissance lanes toward Saint-Georges church and the quays, giving the southern quarter a different rhythm from busy Saint-Jean.
What to look for
Open space at the southern edge of Vieux Lyon
Quick access to the Saône quays
Useful to know
Include it on the way between Saint-Georges and the riverfront.
Plan only a short stop unless an event is taking place.
