Why go
Spend this day above the city if you enjoy open air archaeology and broad views. San Cristóbal’s terrace introduces the layout of Cusco; the next climb reaches Cristo Blanco before the walk turns toward the massive stonework of Saqsaywaman. Qenqo makes a quieter final contrast with its carved rock. The stops are geographically close, but paths climb, descend and cross uneven ground, so the walking allowances are deliberately generous. Start with water and sun protection, take breaks at altitude, and check the current site access arrangements. This is a walking outing for people comfortable with hills rather than a quick circuit of roadside viewpoints.
