Why go
Begin in Victoria and climb into the Gozo Citadel to understand the island’s central stronghold and its wider landscape. Continue by road to Xagħra, where Ġgantija gives the day its prehistoric anchor. Ta Kola Windmill adds a smaller-scale account of milling and everyday work nearby. Ramla Bay is an optional final contrast, reached with another transfer rather than a continuation on foot. This is a day on Gozo itself: if you are arriving from Malta, allow the crossing and onward transport outside the sightseeing window and reduce the final beach stop when necessary.
