Piazza Dante
Vanvitelli’s curved frontage gives Piazza Dante its shape at the north end of Via Toledo. Stop here to orient yourself before entering the bookshop passage through Port’Alba.
Piazza Dante is a useful hinge between several ways of seeing the center. The monumental sweep of the square faces a busy street, while Port’Alba opens into a narrower route toward Piazza Bellini. Pause long enough to read those connections rather than using the square only as a transport point.
