St Andrew's Presbyterian Church
St Andrew's is Ottawa's oldest Presbyterian congregation, housed in a Gothic Revival church near Parliament Hill. The exterior fits a compact heritage walk; interior access depends on worship and events.
Its church tower and older stone fabric provide a quieter counterpoint to the much larger federal buildings nearby. The church adds a religious and community layer to a walk otherwise dominated by federal institutions; its quieter scale rewards a look from the street.
What to look for
The Gothic Revival tower rises among western parliamentary streets.
