Why go
This route suits travelers who like a day that alternates between green space, one focused art visit and the sea air. Begin in the Botanical Garden and Villa Giulia, then walk through Kalsa toward Palazzo Abatellis. La Magione and Palazzo Butera are optional interior stops: check access and keep them only if you have the energy. Villa Garibaldi offers a gentler pause before Porta Felice frames the approach to Foro Italico. The gallery is the longest stop; the gardens and waterfront can be taken at an easy pace. Much of the route is outdoors, so it works best when the weather is comfortable. Choose a day when Palazzo Abatellis is open if you want the gallery visit; check its current visiting days before setting out.
