From the Prague World / Itineraries

Prague Beyond the Main Circuit

Choose a different side of Prague: Vinohrady’s St Ludmila and theatre, a performance at the State Opera, or a longer outing to Prague Zoo or Vítkov.

Prague Beyond the Main Circuit

Why go

These places serve different interests rather than one route. Around Náměstí Míru, St Ludmila, Vinohrady Theatre and the surrounding streets make a coherent neighborhood walk. The State Opera is best tied to a performance; Prague Zoo needs a substantial outing. Vítkov National Memorial adds Czech state history from its hilltop, while Výstaviště pairs an architectural landmark with nearby Stromovka.

Useful to know

  • Keep the Náměstí Míru sights together if exploring Vinohrady.
  • Treat the zoo as a separate outing; check performance or event plans before choosing the State Opera or Výstaviště.
