Former Imperial Court of Kiaochow
The former colonial court at Dexian Road 2 is a substantial early twentieth-century landmark with a granite base, yellow walls and a red mansard roof. View its architecture from the public street; it remains an active office.
Pause at the Dexian Road and Yishui Road corner to study the former court’s granite base, pilasters and red mansard roof. Official tourism material identifies this as a heritage sight, and its scale helps explain the administrative city built during the German concession. Keep the visit to the public street: the building serves the procuratorate, and no exhibition, courtroom visit or interior access is established.
