Kronvalda Park
Kronvalda Park stretches along Riga’s canal north of the central boulevard sights. Its broader paths suit a longer walk toward the Quiet Centre and waterfront.
Unlike compact Bastejkalns, this park gives the canal room to breathe. The two banks and mature planting make it a pleasant route between cultural stops, with space to slow down rather than merely pass through. It is particularly useful when linking central Riga to northern districts on foot.
What to look for
Paths follow the canal through Kronvalda Park.
Formal garden paths offer a route toward the Quiet Centre.
Useful to know
Use the canal paths to connect the centre and Quiet Centre.
Allow a longer walk than for the smaller central parks.
