Why go
This route fits visitors who want two very different ways to read Taipei: a broad public square and two elevated views. Spend the first hour around the memorial grounds, then use the Tamsui–Xinyi metro line toward Taipei 101 for the ticketed indoor panorama. Finish on Elephant Mountain, where steps and uneven trail sections make the final stop more demanding than the observatory. Keep the climb for clear weather and daylight, and check the observatory’s current ticket details before setting out. The plan is deliberately limited to three anchors so the hill does not become a rushed extra.
